IRA Investments
If you would like to trade your IRA funds in a managed forex account, you will need to set up a self-directed IRA account with a trust company. Not all trust companies offer the option of forex investment. Here is a partial list of trust companies that allow the trading of IRA accounts in the forex market:
Millennium Trust Company
Entrust Group
Equity Trust Company
The availability of IRA investment also depends on the specific broker that a managed account uses. Most non-US based brokers do not allow IRA accounts. Please contact us first if you are interested in investing IRA funds with one of the managed accounts.
After your new IRA account is set up at the trust company:
- Contact us to get the account forms for the managed account.
- Then send those completed forms to the trust company, not directly to the brokerage.
Note: All forms for setting up your Custodial Account must come directly from the trust company to the brokerage, not from you. - The trust company will send your forms and funds to the brokerage and open the trading account for you as your IRA Custodian.
- You will be notified via e-mail that the account is open and receive your login information directly from the brokerage.
